And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account (Hebrews 4:18).
At the moment, I’m writing a book entitled “The Hot Seat.” Pastor Flo gave me the idea for this. She read my book “Buried Lies” and had her congregation do exactly what was in the book. Each member takes his or her turn sitting in a central seat where all can see and then tells the story of their lives. Then, of course, everyone prays for that person from a new depth. I’ve never seen a more loving church. Everybody knows everything the others would have wanted to hide, but since everyone knows those hidden things, nobody wears a mask anymore. They can all be who they are, and not who they would like to pretend they are.

And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account (Hebrews 4:13).
As most of my family, friends, and readers know, I like to talk about my personal relationship with Jesus Christ; actually with all three of the Godhead, as they don’t mind being lumped together. They are VERY close. They’d like to see us be VERY close as well. In fact, I feel sorry for those who do not have a personal relationship with the Lord. In the days that lie ahead, between now and the Return of Christ, we are in the Birth Pangs or the Beginning of Sorrows. Only those who know Jesus on an intimate level will have any hope of making it through this time without direct or collateral damage. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account (Hebrews 4:13).
The devil seems to have us on the run. He comes along with his slippery little lies, lies that slap God right in the face, and we laugh at the devil, but in the depths of the night we lie awake and wonder. He just might be right, you know. Money is hard to come by. You never know; you just might get cancer. I probably did marry the wrong person. And on and on it goes. One lie after another. The longer someone meditates on a lie, the more entrenched it becomes in the soul, and suddenly, someone is taking matters into his or her own hands, trying to solve a problem that never existed in the first place. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account (Hebrews 4:13).
I like it that here in France Christians call each other “brother” and “sister.” When I visited churches in the States that had that practice, I thought they were being ultra-religious, but here, where we are so few in number, it’s more intense than superficial. It’s truly family. It has to be. There’s no room for not loving your brother or sister. It’s all we’ve got. I can see why Christians, in countries where they are persecuted, cling to each other. I’m glad I’m not in such a country. Nor was I born and raised in such a country. My country, the United States, was so free for Christianity that we’ve become complacent. We may say cheery hellos on Sunday morning, but we don’t bother to see each other during the week, or ask how we can be of help, or offer anything to a “brother” or “sister.” This does not please God. He wants to see “family.” Do we have to be persecuted to become “family”? |
